Free sketches!

Journal Entry: Mon Sep 28, 2009, 1:46 PM

Since I told :iconginpu: to draw me a pic, I gotta do this. Let's see if I can actually get some responses!

Rules:
:bulletblue: The first 10 people who comment on this journal will get a sketch, free.
:bulletblue: However, in return, you gotta offer 10 free sketches in your own journal.
:bulletblue: If you've already done 10 free sketches, simply link the journal entry in your comment... You still qualify.
:bulletblue: Also, in your comment include a link to a reference picture of the character you want me to draw. Or write me a description.
:bulletblue: Only one character per person- Remember, this is FREE.
:bulletblue: Have fun with this, it's a great way to pass your talents to your fans.

:bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue:I won't do your sketch until you post this same journal:bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue:

I'm back online

Journal Entry: Sat Sep 26, 2009, 8:55 AM

Just thought I'd let anyone who's interested know that I have the internet again at home. I'm currently catching up on stuff. When it came to journals, though, I didn't want to go through the several hundred, so just removed them all; so I may have missed a few things, but oh well.

I don't really know what else to say, so sayonara.

Moving home - lack of internet for a while

Journal Entry: Thu Aug 20, 2009, 3:00 PM

I've been busy recently, and will be busy the next few days, as I'm preparing to move home. Also, once I've moved, which will be on Monday 24th August, I won't have the internet for a while at home, so unless I manage to come here while at work or something, I won't be around until whenever it is that I get internet again (they reckon it could be over a month).

Just thought I'd let you all know, those of you who are actually interested.

P.S. I love the journal skins feature. :D

Expo and life update

Sun May 24, 2009, 11:36 AM
I had a great time at the Expo yesterday, though I spent too much time on my feet, drank too little water and spent too much money. :P Bought a load of stuff, including an awesome Gambit t-shirt, and a box of 24 5-card packs of X-Men Origins: Wolverine trading cards. I don't normally buy trading cards, but after seeing some of the rare cards that you can get, I decided to try my luck; I got two rare cards! :D One that's been personally signed by Lynn Collins, who was Kayla Silverfox in the movie, and a hand-drawn Wolverine! I would have liked a Gambit something, but oh well. I got 72 out of 72 cards, plus some of the special cards (and several duplicates). I also got a signed photo and a signed Torchwood book (Craig Charles and Gareth David Lloyd respectively). Anyway, great fun, though I didn't get to do a couple things I wanted because they were out of tickets for them.

I will be very busy this week for most of the day every day, as we are going through everything in the house, sorting it all and packing it, so by the end of this week the house should be empty apart from what I'll be taking with me. I've taken the week off work for this. The buyers of my house are going on holiday until 7th June, so I won't be moving until at least after then. I've met the seller of where I'm moving to, measured up and checked what furniture I can fit in, found out what's being left there, etc. I love it and can't wait to move!

Swine flu is still just flu

Fri May 8, 2009, 12:13 PM
I had thought, since I first heard of swine flu, "It's still only flu, nothing special, no need to worry," and guess what? I've been proven right by the NHS (National Health Service) here in the UK. They sent information round, and after reading it, I can summarise:

-It is a new viral strain, so nobody has immunity and there is no vaccine yet
-It spreads quickly (largely due to the above statement)
-Other than the above two statements, there are no real differences between swine flu and seasonal flu

So really, there is no need to worry more about it than you worry about common flu. Stop panicking.
